Illustrations for the picture book Chung cu chia Trung thu, published by Slowbooks and written by Nguyen Huu Quynh Huong and Ho Hoang Anh. It tells the story of a young child living in an apartment building who, together with their family, prepares Mid-Autumn gifts to share with neighbors in need
The story explores a “new kind of reunion” within a modern city, focusing on community sharing. The artwork is created using a combination of paper-cut textures and soft pastels. This technique was inspired by traditional Vietnamese handmade toys like star lanterns and carousel lanterns, which are traditionally made from paper for the Mid-Autumn Festival
