This project is inspired by my journey to the Tohoku region in 2024, where I had the chance to witness Hachinohe Sansha Taisai—one of Japan’s most magnificent summer festivals. With a 300-year history, this tradition features a grand parade by three local shrines to pray for a bountiful harvest
Beyond the breathtaking scale of the giant floats, I was deeply moved by the profound reverence and the incredible unity of the local people. This zig-zag fold-out book is designed to recreate the majestic flow and the vibrant spirit of the procession that left a lasting impression on me
